Lone Star State Classic
July 3-5, 2015
Dallas, Texas

A 5-year-old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog called “Gus” captured the first Best in Show of the Classic at the Trinity Valley Kennel Club Dog Show. GCH Derby’s Toast With Gusto was bred by Robyn and Ken Toth with Kristin Kleeman. Owned by Sue Copeland, he is handled by professional handler Scott Sommer. GCH Lockenhaus’ Rumor Has It V Kenlyn captured Bests in Show at the Great Collin Kennel Club and Texas Kennel Club dog shows. Currently the No. 1 dog in all-breed competition, “Rumor” is handled by breeder Kent Boyles, who co-owns her with Deborah Stern, Pamela Buckles, Patti Dukeman and co-breeder Pamela McElheney. SummerFest Dog Shows
July 3-5, 2015
Ventura, California

A 2 ½-year-old Scottish Terrier bitch called “Queenie” won Bests in Show at the Channel City Kennel Club and Ventura County Kennel Club dog shows. GCH Roundtown Queen of Hearts of Maryscot was bred by owner Amelia Musser, with co-breeder Mary O’Neal. “CJ,” a 2-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer, captured the last Best in Show of the weekend at the Santa Maria Kennel Club Dog Show. GCH Vjk-Myst Garbonita’s California Journey is handled by breeder Valerie Nunes-Atkinson, who co-owns him with Yvonne Hassler-Deterding and co-breeder Alice Manning. Ann Arbor Kennel Club Shows
July 4-5, 2015
Monroe, Michigan

GCH Baghdad A Missdemeanor won one of two Ann Arbor Kennel Club Dog Shows. “Demi,” a Saluki, was bred by Paula Bockman-Chato and Margot Keast. She is handled by owner David Scott Pfeil, who co-owns the 5 ½-year-old bitch with Lyndell Ackerman, James Donahue and Aaron Chato. Houston World Series of Dog Shows
July 16-19, 2015
Houston, Texas

A Boston Terrier called “Benny” captured the first Best in Show of the series at the Houston Kennel Club Dog Show. GCH Sabe’s Simply Invincible was bred by Sharon Saberton, who co-owns Benny with Joe and Carla Sanchez. The 2-year-old male is handled by professional handler Jorge Olivera and is powered by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Salmon & Rice Formula.

The current No. 1 dog in the country, “Rumor” won the next two Bests in Show at the Houston and Beaumont kennel clubs. Handled by breeder-owner Kent Boyles, GCH Lockenhaus’ Rumor Has It V Kenlyn was co-bred by Pamela McElheny and is co-owned by Deborah Stern, Pamela Buckles and Patti Dukeman. Last but not least, GCH Kiarry’s Stonewall Jackson, a 3-year-old male American Foxhound, won the Galveston County Kennel Club Dog Show. Handled by breeder-owner Lisa Miller, “Jackson” was co-bred by Harry Miller and is co-owned by Ellen Charles. Currently the No. 1 American Foxhound in the country, Jackson is powered by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Chicken & Rice Formula.

American Spaniel Club Cocker Spaniel National Specialty

Gray Summit, Missouri

“Alan,” a 3-year-old male, won Best of Breed at the American Spaniel Club’s Cocker Spaniel National Specialty. Bred by Genea White Jones and Bruce Van, GCH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill is co-owned by Carolee Douglas and Jackie Beaudoin. The current No. 3 Sporting dog in the country is handled by professional handler Linda Pitts and is fueled by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Active 26/16 Formula.

Greenville, South Carolina

GCH Lockenhaus’ Rumor Has It V Kenlyn captured Bests in Show at three of the four shows held by the Piedmont and Greenville kennel clubs. “Rumor,” currently the No. 1 dog in the country, is handled by Kent Boyles, who co-bred the 3 ½-year-old German Shepherd Dog bitch with Pam McElheney. A 3 ½-year-old male Smooth Coat Chihuahua called “Sonnito” won the last Best in Show of the cluster at the Piedmont Kennel Club. Multi-BIS/ Multi-BISS MEX/AM GCH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez) was bred by Romulo Sanchez Torres, who owns Sonnito with James and Janet Moses. The No. 1 Chihuahua in the country is handled by professional handler Erika Lanasa and is powered by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Chicken & Rice Formula.
