Keystone Cluster
Aug. 7-9, 2015
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

GCH Sporting Fields Shameless (“Brazen”) captured Bests in Show at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club and Harrisburg Kennel Club dog shows. Bred by Dionne Butt and owner-handler Amanda Giles, the 3-year-old female Whippet is co-owned by Barbara Call and Jane Cooney-Waterhouse. The No. 6 dog in the country, Brazen is powered by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Chicken & Rice Formula.

Outperforming nearly 1,700 dogs, a 2-year-old male Pekingese called “The General” won Best in Show at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club’s second show of the cluster. Olympic Kennel Club Dog Show

“Holster,” a 6-year-old male Akita, won Best in Show at the Olympic Kennel Club Dog Show. Bred by owner Colleen Sullivan with Teresa and Rick Witte and Sterling Milton, GCH Sondaisa Fyre When Ready, CD, RN, CGC, is co-owned by Julie Ellis. Capitol City Cluster

Topeka, Kansas

Starting off the four-day cluster, “Jordan,” a 3-year-old male Standard Poodle, captured Best in Show at the Topeka Kennel Club Dog Show. Bred and owned by Linda Campbell, GCH Dawin Reigate Fire Away was co-bred by Suzanne Loblaw. A 4 ½-year-old male Brittany called “Beckett” won Best in Show at the Manhattan Kansas Kennel Club Dog Show. Bred and owned by Kathy Hogan, GCH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome was co-bred by Elud Archuletta and is co-owned with Carolee Douglas, Jim and Alisa Andras, and Amanda Cone. Outperforming more than 1,200 dogs, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named “Chester” won the Topeka Kennel Club Dog Show. “Miranda,” a 3-year-old Wire Fox Terrier bitch, captured the last Best in Show of the cluster at the Manhattan Kansas Kennel Club Dog Show. Sweeping the cluster, GCH Lockenhaus’ Rumor Has it V Kenlyn captured four Bests in Show at the Griffin Georgia Kennel Club, Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club, Lawrenceville Kennel Club and Conyers Kennel Club dog shows. Currently the No. 1 dog in the nation, “Rumor” is handled by owner Kent Boyles, who co-bred the 3 ½-year-old female German Shepherd Dog with Pamela McElheney. Co-owned by Deborah Stern, Pamela Buckles and Patti Dukeman, Rumor is powered by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Salmon & Rice Formula.

Santa Barbara Kennel Club

Santa Barbara, California

GCH Round Town Queen of Hearts of MaryScot captured Best in Show at the Simi Valley Kennel Club and Los Encinos Kennel Club dog shows. The 2 ½-year-old female Scottish Terrier is handled by breeder Gabriel Rangel. The current No. 2 Terrier in the country, “Queenie” is owned by Amelia Musser and is fueled by Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Salmon & Rice Formula.

Both shows hosted by the Santa Barbara Kennel Club were swept by a 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer male called “CJ.” Handled by breeder-owner Valerie Nunes-Atkinson, GCH Vjk-Myst Garbonit’a California Journey was co-bred by Alice Manning and is co-owned by Yvonne Hassler-Deterding. Bluegrass Cluster
Aug. 26-30, 2015
Lexington, Kentucky

The five-day cluster kicked off with the current No. 1 Mastiff, GCH Goldleaf’s Trouble Coming, winning the Mid-Kentucky Kennel Club Dog Show. A 4-year-old male, “Aji” was bred by Monica Coyl, Jann and Mark Lanz, and Laura Watson, who co-owns the dog with Pamela Winter. Handled by pro Terry Smith, Aji is fueled by Purina® Pro Plan® FOCUS Sensitive Skin & Stomach Formula.

A Bouvier des Flandres called “Blu” captured the next Best in Show at the Lexington Kennel Club Dog Show. GCH Stonepillar’s Steel Blu, a 6-year-old dog, was bred by Bruce and Diane Hamm with MJ Sears. Blu is handled by Elaine Paquette, who co-owns him with Julianna and Daniel Garrison. Handled by breeder-owner Luke Ehricht, “Rocket,” the current No. 1 Toy dog, captured Best in Show at the Northern Kentucky Kennel Club Dog Show. Co-bred by co-owner Diane Ehricht, GCH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power also is co-owned by Patricia Hearst Shaw. A 3 ½-year-old male Golden Retriever called “Kahuna” won the Lexington Kennel Club Dog Show. Bred and owned by Lori Reuter, GCH Avalors Big Kahuna is handled by pro Michael Pickard. The small but mighty “Sonnito” captured the last Best in Show of the cluster at the Northern Kentucky Kennel Club. Bred and owned by Romulo Sanchez Torres, GCH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), a 4-year-old male Chihuahua, is co-owned by James and Janet Moses. Beginning a successful run at the Purina Event Center, GCH Hitimes What The Inferno captured two Bests in Show at the Gateway Toy Dog Fanciers Association’s Toy Group shows. A 3 ½-year-old male Pomeranian, “Danny” was bred by Joan and Ashley Carcasole and is co-owned by Bonnie Baird and Udomisin Littichun.
